LazMall requirements in the Philippines: who qualifies, what it costs
LazMall is Lazada’s curated mall of authentic brands. Getting the badge means proving you own or distribute a real brand, then holding a hard set of service numbers. Here is exactly what is on the list.
What is LazMall? It is Lazada’s curated “virtual mall” of brand owners and authorised distributors selling 100% authentic products. It launched on the 9.9 Sale in September 2018, billed as “Southeast Asia’s biggest virtual mall”, and now spans over 32,000 international and local brands across the region. Buyers shopping inside LazMall get a 30-day free-returns window, double their money back if an item turns out to be inauthentic, and free shipping on eligible products. Sellers get a LazMall badge, dedicated search and landing surfaces, and priority in the mega-campaigns — 9.9, 11.11, 12.12.

The badge is a trust signal, and trust converts. The trade-off is that LazMall is harder to get into and costs more per sale than the regular Marketplace. To qualify you need to prove you are a legitimate brand — owner or authorised distributor — and then hold a set of service numbers for three months straight. Below is the full list, the documents, and the honest cost comparison.

The three routes onto LazMall
LazMall is for brands, not for generic resellers. Before you touch the performance numbers, you have to establish what your relationship to the brand actually is, because that decides which documents you upload. There are three routes, and you pick the one that describes you honestly — Lazada checks.
Every route shares the same Philippine baseline: a valid business registration uploaded as DTI (sole proprietor) or SEC (corporation or partnership), your BIR Form 2303, a company bank account in the registered business name, an official website or social presence, and a brand logo that matches the store name. The trademark or authority document on top is what separates the three.
If you have not started selling on Lazada yet, register your Lazada seller account first — LazMall sits on top of an existing store, it is not a separate sign-up.

The performance bar — and you have to hold it
If you are an existing Lazada seller, the brand documents are only half the test. You also have to clear a set of service thresholds, and the catch most applicants miss is that a single good month is not enough — Lazada wants the numbers held for three consecutive months before it will let you in, and it reviews them monthly afterwards. Slip for three months in a row and you can drop out of the programme.
The old version of this guide had the right list but buried it in CMS noise and a typo (“you much meet”). Here it is clean. Hold all of these, together, for three months running.
| Metric | Threshold | What it measures |
|---|---|---|
| Tenure on Lazada | ≥ 6 months | Time as an active seller before you apply |
| Monthly orders | ≥ 30 / month | Sustained order volume, not a one-off spike |
| Ship-on-time (within 24h) | > 95% | Orders dispatched inside the 24-hour window |
| Seller rating | ≥ 70% | Buyer ratings across sold products |
| Cancellation rate (seller’s fault) | < 2% | Cancellations caused by you, not the buyer |
| Chat / IM response rate | ≥ 85% | Replies to buyer queries via Lazada chat |
Thresholds per Lazada Community PH art. 555000 (6 months, 30 orders/month, 15-business-day decision) and Lazada Community MY “Eligibility & Service Standards” art. 1102600 (three-consecutive-months rule), each quoted consistently across multiple sellers’ guides; the official articles are auth-gated or 404 to non-logged-in bots, so figures are corroborated rather than fetched directly. Verified June 2026.

What LazMall costs versus regular Marketplace
This is where you decide whether the badge is worth it. LazMall charges a higher commission than the regular Marketplace, and you pay it on every sale in exchange for the trust surfaces, the campaign access and the buyer guarantees. The premium on the Philippine rate card runs roughly 1.6 to 2.3 percentage points. On top of commission, both channels carry the same 2.24% payment charge per transaction.
Be careful with the precise numbers, because the public sourcing here is thinner than the figures look. We will give you the band, then tell you exactly where it gets shaky.
| Channel | Commission (item value, VAT-incl.) | Plus payment charge |
|---|---|---|
| LazMall | 7.72% – 11.08%* | 2.24% / transaction |
| Regular Marketplace | 6.12% – 8.74%* | 2.24% / transaction |
| Digital goods (both) | 3.36% | 2.24% / transaction |
Commission band: Bilyonaryo, 26 Dec 2024 (effective 6 Jan 2025). Payment charge 2.24% and digital-goods 3.36%: BigSeller PH fee guide, 2026. Both fetched June 2026. For the full picture see the Lazada Philippines seller setup guide.
* Honest caveat on the decimals. The exact figures — especially the 6.12% and 7.72% floors — trace to a single outlet, Bilyonaryo; other guides echo it rather than corroborate it. A separate BigSeller guide reports the regular Marketplace commission as just 1% to 5% (held since mid-2023), which cannot be reconciled with 6.12–8.74% as the same plain rate. The ~11.08% LazMall ceiling and the “up to +8 points vs the old 3–7% band” narrative do hold up independently. Separately, some guides quote US$30–75 fee caps for LazMall — those belong to Singapore’s Aug 2025 rate card, not the Philippines. Treat the band as directional and confirm your live rate in Seller Centre before you price on it.
Product rules sellers miss
LazMall is for new, branded goods. That sounds obvious until you read what it excludes: no OEM, no white-label, no refurbished and no second-hand products are allowed on the programme. If your catalogue leans on unbranded or factory-direct stock, LazMall is not your channel — sell it on the regular Marketplace instead.
Authenticity is enforced, not assumed. The buyer-facing promise is 100% authentic with 2× money back on any inauthentic item, and the seller-facing consequence is the other side of that coin: a counterfeit finding can mean immediate removal from the programme. Combined with the three-consecutive-months performance review, LazMall is a standard you keep meeting, not a badge you earn once.
So is the badge worth it
If you own or exclusively distribute a real brand, sell new branded stock, and already run a tight operation — fast dispatch, low cancellations, responsive chat — then yes. The 30-day returns and authenticity guarantee remove the two biggest reasons a cautious Filipino buyer hesitates on a higher-ticket purchase, and the campaign access puts you in front of traffic you cannot buy on the open Marketplace. You pay one to two points more in commission for it.
If you are a non-exclusive reseller of unbranded goods, or your service numbers are not yet stable, the badge will be hard to get and harder to keep. Build the operation on the regular Marketplace first, hit the thresholds for a clean quarter, then apply. The bar exists precisely so the badge means something — clearing it is the whole point.
FAQ
Common questions
How much higher is the LazMall commission than regular Marketplace?
On the Philippine rate card published for 2025, LazMall runs about 7.72% to 11.08% of item value versus roughly 6.12% to 8.74% for regular Marketplace — a premium of around 1.6 to 2.3 percentage points (Bilyonaryo, Dec 2024). Both channels also carry the same 2.24% payment charge per order. Treat the exact decimals as single-sourced and confirm your live rate in Seller Centre, since a separate guide reports regular Marketplace as low as 1% to 5%.
What is the LazMall returns window for buyers?
LazMall products carry a 30-day free-returns window from the date you receive the item, per Lazada Philippines’ LazMall landing page. That is double the standard 15-day window on regular Lazada items, and it sits alongside the 100% authenticity guarantee with 2× money back on inauthentic goods.
Can an existing Lazada seller apply, and how long does approval take?
Yes. You need at least 6 months on Lazada, at least 30 orders a month, ship-on-time above 95%, a seller rating of at least 70%, a seller-fault cancellation rate below 2%, and chat response of at least 85% — held for three consecutive months. Once you submit, Lazada emails its decision within 15 business days.
Which products are not allowed on LazMall?
OEM, white-label, refurbished and second-hand products are not permitted. LazMall is restricted to new, branded goods sold by the brand owner or an authorised distributor, and a counterfeit finding can trigger immediate removal from the programme.
